Light, dry, could pair well with a variety of food.
I prefer fuller pinots, but this bad boy is so tasty, I'll still give it four stars.

Cool. I'll have to try and compare them with the pinots from Oregon.

Fantastic chardonnay.
If only there were a mobile app so I could upload whilst tasting instead of forgetting all of the lovely notes ;-)
Interesting wine at first. Pronounced smell of berries and a strong taste of vanilla flan. It reminded me the purple Yellow Tail. It's, however, a strong wine. Not bad, but not what I expect from a good merlot.
This is a really good wine. And expensive too. Its bitter sweetness is interesting, with an intense bouquet of caramel and fruit. On the palate, definite hints of chocolate. It didn't earn a five star rating from me because it's too acidic, which distracted me from the experience of wine Read more
An initial fruity taste comes to mind but then a slightly acidic finish takes a bite. It's not bad everyday wine, but nothing special to write home about. Would probably benefit from more aging in the bottle.
I keep insisting on this family of wines... I never learn. :-) This one is not too bad at first: a small hint of fruity sweetness. Then on a second sip its true nature comes out: bland and impersonal -- not much body or personality to it. Highly passable.
Vertical 2005-2006-2007. The winemaker increased percentage of Cabernet from year to year, getting a very consistent flavor profile (which, I think, is the point of blending). The 2005 and 2006 were both very good. The 2007 still has some tannic edges and could wait a couple more years but promises Read more
This is not a terrible wine, it's just a cheap and simple one. I think, however, that it will appeal to lots of people as an everyday wine because it's more of a delicate taste and fruity. Its color is a nice big purple. The taste leans on the fruity Read more
Indistinct nose. Then lemon flavors giving way to tartness and strong acidity and a little too much alcohol taste on the tongue. I guess this is what trying to stretch a $10 per week alcohol budget gets you...

Ah, my "favorite" brand of wine to beat up on reviews. :-) Very few escape the 1 to 2-star review.

Yeah, I can believe that. But you know what? I just went back to it this evening and it tastes much better after sitting in the fridge for four days. Now I get a strong pineapple flavor and less alcohol taste. Maybe it just needs to breathe more to make it more palatable - at least as palatable as this bran can be.
