a.k.a Rodolfo Sadler
Pretty darn good! Perfect Malbec for the price. (I think about $12). Was much better the second day.

Not very good. This wine was dry, a little over-tannic and unremarkable. It did have a nice ruby red color though.
My brother has been raving about the Crane Lake Zinfandel, so I had to try it. Unfortunately, I found a sea of Crane Lake wine (Petite Sirah, Merlot, Cab, etc), but no Zin. So I purchased this Malbec for about $3.33 (it's 3 for $10). Turns out I didn't puke, Read more

I have had this wine before but did not take notes on it. I am re-enjoying this wine again while visiting my parents in NY. Discovered the wine was stored in a very cold place. Thinking the storage temperature was too low. Given the conditions this is not a better Read more
I can't decide if I like this 2009 Malbec from Argentina or not. The Achaval Ferrer is not bad. It has a deep ruby red color and smells good. At first, a faint hint of vanilla comes to mind. The taste is that of a young malbec but it has Read more
This 2008 Malbec from the Mendoza region in Argentina has a deep fruit flavor and is a bit chocolate-y. It is for sure still young and can probably rest for a couple years to get even better. It went really well with a beef stroganoff. But at $29 a bottle, Read more
I love Malbec with a good meat -- ribs especially (beef, not pork, though pork is good too). This Catena 2007 is a great Malbec from Argentina. It's oaky just right and a bit spicy with hints of vanilla and peppercorn. Delicious. (Oh, and the ribs were melting in their Read more
