Interesting wine at first. Pronounced smell of berries and a strong taste of vanilla flan. It reminded me the purple Yellow Tail. It's, however, a strong wine. Not bad, but not what I expect from a good merlot.

This is a very affordable Merlot. Not great, but does a good job as an everyday kind of wine. Mellow and a little flan-like, this 2008 Merlot from Napa won't overwhelm many foods. Equivalent to a good table wine.

Interesting! I'm drawn to wines that have strawberry aromas and flavors, perhaps because they don't seem as common to their raspberry and cherry cousins. I'll have to check this one out.
